I tried several times to make appointment by phone for disability and never got through. Walked into Kapolei office and found the system to be very efficient. Workers were very knowledgeable and friendly.

I received my new Social security card for a name change but I never received my birth certificate or my passport back in the mail as informed. I was forced to leave my sensitive information and identity at the office and wait for it in the mail. I need my birth certificate to apply for a new passport to be able to visit my husband. This is causing a lot of distress.

  15. Apr 14, 2021

I have called several times and the line goes dead after hearing recording after recording, I would like to make an appointment, but cannot seem to get someone to answer the phone to make an appointment. My medicare application has a problem. The national office said there was an error inputting it at the local office. I want to know if it has been fixed. Every time I got through in the past, I was told to 'Just Wait.' I have waited and waited, no result. I cannot wait any longer as I will be retiring in a month and my post-retirement health benefits require a medicare card with Part B. When I talk to someone on the phone (local) that there might be a problem, I am told 'Just wait.' I want someone at a higher lever to check everything. Because of the time crunch, this is an emergency and I cannot get through to get an appointment!

This is a review about how a customer service agent handled my phone call. I called 800.772.1313 number and proceeded through all of the prompts until I finally got a live person. At that point, I had to confirm who was calling and why I was calling. Because the letter that I had received was addressed to my wife about our daughter I had to put my wife on the phone to speak to the agent so she can also confirm who she was and why the call was placed. The request for our daughters ssn was asked. I had to do a quick research to retrieve it. My wife had to repeat several times the requested information to the agent because she could not hear the responses over the phone – for whatever reason. The agent accused my wife of yelling at her, when in fact she was in a very calm state and speaking slowly and at a nominal speaking volume. The agent abruptly hung up on us after we had been waiting over 50 minutes to be connected to an agent. It was told to us that the phone conversation was being recorded. I hope a supervisor can go back to review those phone calls during 145p – 2p on 5/31/2018 to hear how our particular phone conversation was handled. I can give you more information via email if you need to confirm. Thank you
