Called the office directly and after waiting on hold for at least 20 minutes they said they don't make or take appointments. I can't believe senior have to go through all this nonsense just to get their questions answered or set up an appointment.

Sometimes a person is forced to call and wait on hold for at least an hour in order to speak with a “snotty” agent with a condescending and curt attitude. They operate with impunity. as what’s one to do if they are curt and abrupt? Talk to their superior? Hell, if it takes an hour+ just to get an abusive agent, how long would one need to wait to speak with a “supervisor?” That is, if an agent would even attempt to find one for you! They can literally “hang-up” on you. Agents know this “power” they have over their callers and often abuse it!

Having to call to make an appointment when no one answers the phone is ridiculous. With the money being wasted by this administration, maybe they should spend some to bring SSA at least into the 20th century let alone the 21st.

My mom needs to make an appointment to discuss the record as her medicare bill is not updated accordingly. She needs a Korean translator. How do I make an appointment at your location or is there any online service? She already talked to someone on the phone after 2 hour-long wait but it didn't help and they suggested her make an appointment in person.

Three weeks ago i sent all the information they asked me for and I've still not gotten my benefits, they hang up on you usually twice when you call.

To Whom It May Concern Id like to bring it to your attention that your employee Logan was very courteous, helpful and efficient when I called in for an appointment. Please thank him for his great service. Sincerely, Sandra

I have tried to call the local Social Security office, as well as 800-772-1213, to make an appointment, but I can't get through to any live person. I was on hold for over a hour, when my call was suddenly terminated. This happened twice.

This is a really bad social security office. Everybody in that office just stare to each other and none of them is willing to pick up the phone. I was in there only one citizen and saw them sitting there doing nothing.

I have to make an appointment to pick up social security card. I tried calling the mission viejo office but after 45+ minutes on hold, i get disconnected. Then I drive to Mission Viejo to make an appointment in person and the security guard literally threatened to 'cuff' me and told me to call. I've been on the phone for another hour now, just standing outside the office, calling the number he told me to call.

Hi, I recently got married and would like to change my last name on my social security card. I do not want to mail in any paperwork because I want to make sure it is given to the correct person. I was on the phone waiting for someone to answer and ended up getting disconnected. US citizens NEED YOUR HELP! My mother, passed away last year. I have been trying to get a tax statement for last year, so that I can have her taxes done. I have tried to get it online and the site won't let me. I have spoke to 3 different people, in which they tell me they submitted the request, after a month, I have not received anything. The last person I spoke to was Joe in the Mission Viejo Office. He was not courteous at all. I doubt he even submitted my third request. when I asked for his last name, he said it was company policy not to give that out. I told him that the previous week I spoke to Ms. Canales, she gave me her last name. He had no comment. Ms. Canales told me the statement would be mailed out the next day. I live in Mission Viejo, I should have gotten it. Today I spoke to Derrick and I requested to speak to a supervisor. Her VM was so low I did not get her name. I left a message, hopefully she will call back.

Thanks to Ms. Stewart for assisting me with my Social Security Claim dispute...Even though It did not come out in my favor, her assistance made me feel that in a couple of years I can have stability in my retirement finances and not the roller coaster of misinformation and confusion that has been the case for the past couple of years since I retired from Public School Teaching. I wish she had been my advisor from the beginning and my case would have been more stable. FYI: It would be advantageous in the future to have all retirees fill out a short form online or mail to state if they will be receiving a pension from another source and how much when they claim Social Security. That way they will have solid documentation instead of a said dispute. My initial agent either gave me bad information or documented my information wrong and now I am paying for it. A simple form on file would have solved that problem. Thank you for reading my review. I still believe Social Security is a GREAT organization and wonderful Safety Net.

Im 65 years old I need Medicare please thanks

  30. Dec 20, 2019

I have been coming to this office monthly since 06/18/19 trying to reinstate my Medicare part B and absolutely nothing has been accomplished. Every single time the SSA employees seem to be spending excessive time between two computer systems/screens they have on their desk but nothing gets done. They all say they send emails. It is waiting on a 'queue'!!! No one takes responsibility. No one cares. Who is the person responsible for the SSA office in MIssion Viejo? This afternoon I was there and the employee told me he was trying to help me? What was his priority? To hold on to my Driver's License and refusing to return it to me because I voiced my frustration on the apathy of the SSA resolving anything. It is a 'loop' of indifference and corruption. Yes, they do not return calls either. .
