I called to ask about information pertaining to Medicare. Sound as though I was speaking to an elderly woman who was rude and told me not to call the Neptune NJ office again and to only call the toms river NJ office. She also stated the the employees in Medicare didn't know what they are talking about. Because they are contracted. She had complained to me that Toms River never picks up their phone and seemed annoyed that I called. I dialed the Toms River Office so I don't know how I got the rude woman in Neptune NJ. This behavior is unacceptable to me. I am now very upset and had to call back to speak to someone else to get the information I needed. It was poor service on her part.

Woman from Neptune NJ office called and woke me up this morning at 8:00 a.m., told her she woke me up and got no apology, very rude. Proceeded to start asking me questions about my sister while I was half asleep, TOO EARLY TO CALL PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  16. Oct 3, 2019

Ms, Matthews, Social Security Office, Neptune, NJ called me on Sept. 11, 2019. I have called back several times with callback #'s and times of availability and have had no contact from her. Consequently, as the payee for my daughter's Social Security Check, I have not been able to correct the problem I have. All I want is to transfer Banks for direct deposit. I have been trying to do this since July, 2019. I have given the appropriate bank and #;s to several people at Social Security but it doesn't take place. I would like to meet face-to-face with someone at the Neptune Social Security Office and clear this up! Thank you

It is impossible to get an appointment time at this office. First of all you have to wait 30 mins at least or request a call back just to speak to someone. when you finally do get to a human being you are told 'Oh this is not the Neptune field office, this is just the standard number for all Social Security calls. They will not give you a number for the Neptune office, and they also tell you that you can't make an appointment, you just have to go there and sit and wait forever with all the other poor sheep. It's disgraceful!!

  18. Oct 11, 2018

The hold time now to make an appointment is ONE HOUR.

  19. May 25, 2018

Possibly the worst automated phone service I have ever encountered. The hold times to speak to someone is around 30 minutes so the only option is to leave a message and wait for a call back.......now I'm waiting.

  20. Apr 3, 2018

Your phone system sucks!!!!!!! Too long. Finally received a call back which I then got a msg 'Due to problems, we are not able to connect your call to an agent. Please try again at a later time'. Seriously? I wait 35 minutes for that?

  21. Mar 19, 2018

Your automated voice system is horrible and virtually impossible to get through to merely set up an appointment at my local office

  22. Oct 27, 2014

Would like to make an appt. wth SS office in Neptune and have been unable to reach them by phone or on line. I have questions about applying for SS and need to speak with a live person. HELLO? Just love that my tax dollars are paying people who are unable to speak with me because of this wonderful automated system.
