Uselessly slow lazy response time, even if gotten too early, waste of tax payer money, that's what ssa in Angleton is.

  2. Jan 24, 2023

My sons social security card got thrown away. I need to get him a new one, I don't know his number and he is only 7 months old, how do I do this?

  3. Jan 17, 2023

I have been trying to get thru to Social Security spending hours and hours on different ways to reach someone.

  4. Aug 15, 2022

Angleton office called for my 1:05pm appointment at 12:59pm and then left a voicemail that I need to call and reschedule. It's highly frustrating to have someone call at the incorrect time and then not leave a call back number to speak to them. I waited 2 months for this appointment.

  5. Jul 15, 2022

Had scheduled phone appointment today, they never called.

  6. Jan 14, 2022

I waited on the phone for 3 hours during their business hours with no answer. This is ridiculous. Why even have an office if you are not going to do your job.

  7. Jan 4, 2022

My daughter haven't received her SOCIAL SECURITY number she is 9 months already, is this the office that can help me with this or I gotta call somewhere else for this help?

  8. Nov 24, 2021

I have gone through a nightmare in getting a replacement SS card. Ms. Pappion was amazing to work with. She listened to the issues and took great care of me. She rocks! Thank you for having such a great agent!

I have been on the phone for 2 days. 1st day after long hold some one answers the phone . then hang up . Today called the local office . After 3 hours got connected to a person. She said the line is not clear and hang up . Did not even make an effort to listen

  11. Aug 30, 2021

This is crazy, all other Americans are able to go to work daily. Bet the SSA employees go out in public daily .... just wear a mask and distance but OPEN the local offices. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE to get anybody on the phone! UNACCEPTABLE. OPEN the FIELD OFFICES.

  12. Aug 11, 2021

I have been calling this office since 9am. It's now 1:14pm and I can't get through, someone answers my call then hangs up on me. Is there a different to call? thank you

  13. Jul 12, 2021

CALLED MULTIPLE TIMES DURING THE DAY AND I AM ON HOLD FOR A LONG TIME THEN IT RINGS A LONG TIME AND I GET HUNG UP ON, THIS IS SO FRUSTRATING. 2 MONTHS NOW AND I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY SONS SOCIAL SECURITY CARD! EXTREMELY FRUSTRATED!

  14. May 26, 2021

I can't even keep count of how many times I've called this office. Not once have I spoken to an actual person. It always hangs up after being on hold for so long. Does anyone work here? I just don't understand. I've been trying to figure out how to change my name since I got married. I don't want to mail all of my original documents to this office and not know when/if I'll get them back...

  15. Apr 16, 2021

How are you supposed to make an appointment with nobody ever answers the phone horrible horrible service here

  16. Mar 15, 2021

This office is horrible. After a year it’s still closed . Service was terrible even at 100 percent open . Now is even a worst experience seeing they have wait times of 30 minutes or more only to be spoken to rudely or answer & hang up on you.

1st of all I want to apologize for what I am going to say, I brought my wife and 4 children from outside the United States after 3 years of battling with painful immigration paperwork, finally I brought my family to where I live in Alvin, TX. Because my family are a new immigrants they never have a SSN issued to them, I guess my bad luck has put me under this Angleton office, I've never experienced such bad service. No one from the leadership at this office appears to want to serve anyone calling for assistance. My family don’t have health insurance or nothing because they don’t have an SSN, I have been calling every day for the past 2 weeks and heard nothing back, please if anyone can help me tell me where to go?

  18. Feb 5, 2021

I was trying to reach y'all about a letter y'all send to me. It's about the change of address. I did talk to someone but I'm still waiting for somebody to call me back.

  19. Jan 29, 2021

I cannot get anyone to call me back or send me my paperwork. How can i apply if no one will help me. This is so aggravating.

  20. Dec 12, 2019

I've never experienced such bad service. No one at this office appears to want to serve anyone calling for assistance. They sent me a letter; and so I couldn't call their office, the office wouldn't even add the office's phone number so I could talk to the person who sent me the letter. No one wanted to speak to me or assist me. They couldn't have been that busy!
