If I am starting a new job that only has a defined contributions plan that replaces the Social Security. When I retire in 10 years will I still be able to receive a social security check along with these contributions as well? thanks, Connie

Your security officer is super Rude. I was there 3/1/22 and the first person in line first interaction with people was all up in his face and asking him if he couldn't read. Y'all have a TERRIBLE system in place at this time. Your phone systems don't work to set up the mandatory appointments, and the interaction person at the door is rude. I understand you and the system is overwhelmed and over worked, but there needs to be a better option. No one in the line I was in had an appointment scheduled, most likely due to the fact that no one can get thru to schedule them, and there has to have been employees in the building to help us with the issues we needed to take care of. I need to get my name changed on my SS card. I know there is a drop box, I have a gov issues Drivers license that has my names already changed. I have my marriage license that I cant sent you because its notarized but you cant accept photo copies so that makes NO sense, and I cant just give you my drivers license in a drop box as its my drivers license and I need it to DRIVE.

  9. Apr 20, 2021

I have been calling every other day for an appointment and they said they would call me back. I missed a call and they never called back. ONE MONTH and this is only to get the appointment. I can't imagine if my appointment will be scheduled this year.

No communication whatsoever. Don’t recommend this place and theirs only one with a population of 300,000 people. Ridiculous, go to a different ss office.

  11. Mar 30, 2021

I called this office because I cannot be issued a drivers license. The name on my social security card does not have jr. It must match for me to get a drivers license. The person I spoke with states that I must send in my identification card. I need my identification card. When asked if there was anything else he didn't know and transferred me to a voice mail.. good luck dealing with these folks they won't even schedule you an appointment.

about 6 weeks ago, I called to set up an appointment to apply for survivor benefits. The soonest I was able to make an appointment, was Nov. 9 at 2 PM. No mention was made that this would be a phone interview, so I took the afternoon off work and drove to your office. Discovering the locked doors, I called and was told someone would be phoning me at my appointment time. Fifteen minutes after that schedule time, I called back and was told the person I was schedule with was probably running long with the customer before me. I never received a call. I will try phoning again.

I need to report some local calls I have been receiving claiming they are calling from the SS office and I have not answered any of the calls which are local cellular numbers in Corpus Christi area code 361 all numbers are 695-6678; 695-9070 and 695-7301. I have blocked all the calls and as soon as I blocked the first one, they all have been calling with a new number.

I had to come to ssa office to drop off appeal and paperwork there was a long line. I am unable to stand for a long time had to return early next day. I don't know why people with disabilities have to stand outside the building until 9:00 am. Doors do not open at 8 people should be able to sign in and wait until 9. Office hours are short and high volume of clients line up. Also trash can outside office is full of trash some on the ground. I cannot believe no trash pick up done last night. But mostly feel bad for clients lining up in the hot sun and with health issues. Please forward concerns to management. Thanl you
