Rude and unprofessional. Call everyday for a week and can't get any help. Call the 800 number and they told me to call St Pete office. The St Pete office don't answer and I'm disabled.

It’s impossible to get someone on the phone!

  3. Apr 21, 2022

Got through in about 1 1/2 minutes and my questions were answered with courtesy, respect and I might add some humor! Very good experience. Kudos to the St. Petersburg SSI office and Mr. Riviera for his excellent Customer Service!

The St. Petersburg office does not pick up the phone and disconnects after about 6 minutes on hold. I've tried at least 6 times with the same result throughout the day. The Tampa office said that I HAD to use the St. Pete office. How does one get ahold of someone to make an appointment?

  5. Nov 15, 2021

The wait time to get a rep is unacceptable. No private company would be in business with this kind of service. I am so tired of the Covid excuse as justification for no or poor service. The SSA needs to get its act together. Why not set up an outdoor operation like was done for Covid testing? Getting in-person help is critical to me and so many others. I can go to a restaurant, museum, and doctor's office with no problem yet the place I desperately need to go, the SS office, can't accommodate.

  6. Oct 18, 2021

Called five times, got disconnected EACH TIME never spoke to anyone, sat on hold for 45 minutes to an hour each time (this was an ALL DAY event) So discouraged. IMPOSSIBLE to get a person to talk to.

  7. Oct 12, 2021

I need to make my Medicare Part B active. I have called twice now and my calls are being dropped. Howe does someone contact the Social Security and Medicare? Does anyone return calls. I need someone to work with me on this matter.

  8. Jul 19, 2021

Everyone at these SSI offices should be FIRED! We need to protest of having to wait 2-3 hours on the phone to schedule an appointment and then be told it is cancelled!

  9. May 17, 2021

Currently on hold for 1:50 mins. That would be an hour and fifty minutes. Disconnected 5 times before this call. My twins birthdays are wrong on their social cards and need to be replaced. This hold time is absolutely ridiculous.

  10. Mar 15, 2021

I made an appointment through the 1-800 number, and 2 days prior to the appointment, the social security office cancelled said appointment. If anyone else has an issue, please post.

necesito una cita por favor, no tengo seguro social, hace 6 meses estoy tratando de pedir una cita y no he podido., que hago?

  12. Feb 9, 2021

I'm trying to make an appointment to change my last name due to marriage. The phone system kept clicking. I gave my ss# to the automated operator, the system attempted to transfer me and then disconnected.

  13. Jan 4, 2021

I have called the social security office 3 times today. Every time I called I was disconnected after talking with an agent in order to complete an application. However, no agent called me back to finish the application. I am wondering if the phone get disconnected is it your policy for the client to call back or should the agent reach back out to the client. I think this is poor customer service and this agency needs a better policy and way of handling customer service calls. It is very frustrating trying to complete an application over the phone and to get disconnected and you start over with a new agent and the same thing happens.

  14. Nov 18, 2020

I was holding to be connected to a representative and there was some static followed by three beeps and I was disconnected. There needs to be a better phone system.

55 minute hold wait time on the phone; on line, application not being accepted; no process for making an appointment at the local social security office; what is going on with our Gov't Services?

  17. Aug 1, 2020

    On checks

  18. Jul 8, 2020

Is the social security office open to come inside and speak to a person 7/8/20

  19. Nov 19, 2018

Don't bother making an appointment. People walking in off the street get served faster. Security guards won't help get any info on when you'll be served. Looks like they are trying to wait people out so they will leave without bothering them. This is a poor use of government funds to run this office. Should be shut down.
