Went to office dropped off appeal paperwork. Agent said 60 days and benefits will remain on. Benefits fully shut off with no appeal. Terrible attitude and ruined my families life now.

First time I called waited for 45 minutes to an hour, Once it's answered I have an appointment the next month, then someone called me the exact time of my appointment and explained it to me. So after that, she told me I will get my first check 2 month after my birthday! As long as I drop off the document thats needed at the Local Branch Office mail box so they can process on time, and it did. So may over all rating to the person helps me is EXCELLENT!!

I was on hold for 45 mins to start then a person finally answered the phone. She was RUDE, unhelpful, spoke way to fast and would not slow down. She refused to help over the phone (so I am wondering why she even answered) and was told to call their internet number. Then she HUNG up on us without warning and on purpose. She also refused to give her name. There is no such thing as an internet number but I actually understood that she meant was to call their call center. Well, we did that and waited another 45 mins and still no one answered the phone. We did this twice. I am a financial professional trying to help a client that is 84 years old that just lost her husband.

I'm trying to get a name change and new card and no one will respond.

I’ve been calling since literally 9:00 in the morning till no 1:42pm and nobody answers, the line does not work, this service is the worse. I have 3 months waiting for my social security and nobody helps. I don’t even know why do they have offices if they are all closed, theme parks and malls are all open and a simple office can’t because of “COVID”. There are more than enough resources already to work since the pandemic. Do your work.

  6. Feb 23, 2022

Was told I had an appointment and to come in at 9. Came in at 9 and was told to call the office to make an appointment because I wasn’t even on the list and even showed the message to show I actually talked to somebody. Extremely difficult to get a hold of. I am also upset because I can’t be on the car much due to reasons that cause me pain and did not like having my time and effort wasted and having to be in a car in having to experience great discomfort for no reason. This is really upsetting and hopefully y’all figure out a better way. Not cool at all.

  7. Nov 30, 2021

Appointment times aren’t kept, misinformation given from rep to rep. Don’t even try to fax anything over because it’s always busy. The excuses will still keep coming even after Covid.

  8. Nov 15, 2021

All government offices in Bartow are open ! Why isn’t SS office open for appointments? It’s ridiculous!

  9. Nov 2, 2021

I need to make an appointment to file for Social Security benefits.

  10. Oct 20, 2021

I just called and wasn’t on the phone waiting that long. I spoke to Ms. Ellis and she made my day actually my month so much better. My disability is under review and I couldn’t figure out what was happening no one seem to know. She knew exactly what I was talking about and told me what to do if something went wrong next time. A lot of negative comment I see but I just want to say she is one doing a great job.

  11. Sep 21, 2021

Open your office. I have been trying to make an appointment. I’ve tried online. I’ve tried through the mail. I’ve tried multiple hours just trying to set up an appointment. When someone finally does pickup they ask me if I’m trying to apply for benefits then hang up. I’m not trying to apply for benefits. I just need a simple 10 minute task from a person.

  12. Jul 28, 2021

I need to change my name and address and the phone line disconnects every time. Is this office open?

  13. Jul 27, 2021

I've had some stuff stolen from me. I need my as card so I can get my driver's license. I'm not sure why certain people can't have an appointment. I have a vaccine. This is ridiculous.

  14. Jun 7, 2021

Was on line 800 Number for over one half hour only to be put on total silence. No disconnect or help. Stayed another 20 minutes. So whoever answered just left phone off hook.

My uncle is 70,and has a life threatening illness. Your info is different than his birth certificate, driver's license etc. He hasn't been able to get retirement or Medicare because of this. We've called the last year, but your staff won't help him. Tell us to send this form, and that form in. All impossible. He needs to meet in person. He's disabled, and deaf.

  17. Mar 23, 2021

I wanted to check if my paperwork had been received, but the phone system - no matter which way I tried to navigate to an agent - rings twice and then disconnects. How are people supposed to get questions addressed or set up appointments if the phone system isn't working?

  18. Mar 5, 2021

I am eligible for Social Security benefits at age 62 on July 19, 2021. I would like to schedule an appointment to apply for these benefits. I am not able to complete them online. I would appreciate assistance and to schedule when it is the right time April or May? 3 months prior? Thank you.

  19. Mar 2, 2021

I needed help in November and originally had an appointment in December. I never received a call so I had to make another appointment. That was for February. I got no call again. When I called them on my February date, I got hung up on a few times but finally got transferred to My agent MRS. PRICE. Of the many times I was transferred, I got no answer ever. She also has no voicemail setup so eventually it just hangs up on you. I just need some help from my Social Security Office. Why is it impossible? I really need to be helped. I see why there are so many negative reviews on google.. What can I do? None will help me.

I am trying to get amount owed back to social security but this statement is not correct. I wasn’t even admitted to consultant in winter haven until middle of October. So September needs to be taken off and I only received 30.00 for February so please fix this and I will send money for what I owe. Also consultant told me they sent you a check for over 300.00 that also needs to be deducted.

  26. Dec 18, 2018

I called the number that was given on this website spent an hour on hold and as soon as someone picks she tells me I need to call the local office. Why when the number I called is the number on this website and it doesn't have any other numbers for me to call.

  27. Nov 8, 2018

This is one of the most poorly ran government offices I have every visited .They have twenty windows and only open six at a time. Why build so many if your not going to use them they could of added another thirty seats for the for the handicapped and elderly to seat instead of standing.I waited a two hours outside in the hot sun before I made it to the door only to wait another hour half to be called. I watched as many workers were on their cell phones texting. I can't use my cell phone at work why should they unless it's a emergency. The guard is the only one doing his job correctly that I could see.

  28. Jan 12, 2016

We went to this office this morning for name changes and replacement cards. The wait time was not very long. The person we met with was exceptional. She was friendly and very polite. We were done in a very short time and completely satisfied. Thanks for the help!
