Is there anyway I can replace my ss card online?

  2. Dec 1, 2021

Have been trying to call Greensboro field office and keep getting hung up on after being on hold for 15-20 min. Received a letter in the mail that stopped my disability and I’ve been trying to request a reconsider form but haven’t had any luck talking with anyone to even set up appointment or anything. This is a time sensitive matter and I don’t know any other way to go about getting this information to you. It is so hard to contact anyone from your office.

I reported someone for disability fraud over 5 months ago and this person is still working getting paid under the table can't get any information about my claim , I'm a tax payer and some one is getting disability and working a full time job and not reporting it , doesn't make sense when people are barely making it off there disability , think I'm going to have to call TV station to see if they can get some results

I dropped off my passport and marriage license a couple weeks ago. Yesterday, I received both back along with a different gentlemen's ID card. I have zero idea what the status of my new social security card and this poor man is without his ID card.

I need to make an appointment so that I can get my children and myself new SS cards that were stolen with a bookbag when I was moving. I do not feel comfortable with mailing my official drivers licenses and their official Medicaid cards.

How do I make appointment to get a SS card?

  8. Dec 17, 2020

I'm sorry. Your customer services is bad. Your people are rude and uncaring. All I need is to get a Social Security card with my Married name on it. I'm NOT mailing my drivers license and marriage certificate to y'all. Would you mail your personal information? This dude says everyone is at home. Office hours are listed on the site and you can make appointments to go in. Why can't I make an appointment? Can I not wait outside with my envelope with all the information and have someone come get it, make copies and give it back? Is that so hard to ask? I got married in JULY I have still not gotten my new card. The dude had the audacity to ask why I waited so long? Like dude, I've been trying to get this done since I got married. The fault is with the jacked up system and not me.

I had to change my checking account and needed to have my Social Security check sent to my new checking account. I called and spoke to Ms. Summers and she was wonderful. My computer was not working correctly so I had to call your office. Being a senior citizen and not that good with the computer I called in. I only had to wait amount 8 minutes when Ms. Summers answered and she was polite, understanding and walked me through the process. She made me feel good and it was a pleasant experience. I have nothing but good things to say about the service and about Ms. Summers. Thank you for your service. .

  16. Mar 20, 2020

I have multiple messages on the 19th & 21st that I want to change my direct deposit information but I haven’t received a phone call yet.

  17. Feb 26, 2020

I agree with all the comments being negative. I have had paperwork lost creating my current situation of medicare start date not correct. Have made many calls and left messages and have yet to receive a response back. This place is rude, condescending, and apparently just plane run in a non-professional manner by people who think they are better than those coming there for assistance. I am still fighting with appeal to have my Part B started because it was late according to their received date of application which is false and lost for over 40 days. Call after call got nowhere and still no answer on appeal. Now Feb 26 and this started with my application back in Sep. Avoid this office if there are any other options.

It’s very hard to contact this Greensboro social security office. I try to update my information for 4 times , wrote the letter 3 times and also called 1 time. Anytime when I wrote they never respond. I really don’t like this office at all. The letter said contact them, when you tried to contact them they didn’t talk to you, is not like the one in Durham. Before I moved to my current address I did not have any problem contact with SSI office, they confirmed any letter that they received and send a copy back to me. It’s easy to contact Durham SSI office by phone and letter anytime.

  19. Aug 7, 2019

Received a call from +18301298638 posing as SS office. Saying my number was suspended.

  20. Aug 31, 2015

This office is run by people who are unprofessional and rude. No one returns calls on time before deadline even though that's what they state in letters sent in the mail (you're told to call and speak to staff before due date) and then applicant gets blame for being late. The staff who handle applications for SSI income yell or speak loudly for people outside of the halls to hear conversations. Paper work has been lost by staff handling and transferred from one person to another on phone.
