    I have called 4 times just this morning. First my call was disconnected, then connected to Brownsville couldn't help me. Next placed on hold, then eventually call again. Called two more times only to automated machine tell me the extension I called had a mailbox that was full, I was holding for the next available agent. So frustrating and infuriating.

    I got a call from this man named Luke Spencer with The DMC#701 he clams he is from this office and that my SSN was suspended and that their was a warrant out for my arrest because of Money lingering and Drug trafficking he clams he is a officer of the Harlingen, TX 78550 and my SSN WAS Sent to them by law enforcement and he clams that i have 80,000 dollars and credit dept so i am emailing you so i can find out if this is a scam the number he called from was 1-626-415-7889

    I received a phone call from this number, stating that it was this office, suspending my Social Security account. I tried to call the phone number above and the voice mail box is full.... How are you protecting us from potential fraud if there is no way to contact you to verify it was actually the Social Security Office calling me?

SSI makes monthly payments to people who have low income and few resources and are:

Parents or guardians usually can apply for blind or disabled children under age 18. In some cases, other third parties can apply for children.

Please bring:
- Your Social Security card or a record of your Social Security number;

How long will it take to get a Social Security card?

What is SSI (Supplemental Security Income)?
SSI provides monthly payments to adults and children who have low income, few resources, and who are blind or disabled. SSI also provides monthly payments to people age 65 and older with limited income and resources, who are not blind or disabled.
How Much Can You Get from SSI?
The basic monthly federal amount for 2021 is the same nationwide:
$794 for one person, or
$1,191 for a couple



Not everyone gets the same amount. You may get more if you live in a state that adds money to the federal SSI payment. On the other hand, you may get less if you have other income such as wages, pensions, or Social Security benefits. You may also get less if someone pays your household expenses. You may also get less if you live with a spouse and he or she has income.
Should I Apply for SSI?
