I was just wondering if I’m able to schedule an appointment in order to come in with my State ID to verify for my duplicate SSN Card application, or do I just have to walk in at any time within 45 days?

Social Security Henderson, NV Location One of my biggest pet peeves, especially someone who has been working in the corporate world for over 20 years; is people that are having a bad day and they take it out on others. This is the Social Security office; you are playing with peoples livelihood, peoples, benefits, and more. If you are not emotionally stable to deal with people who have disabilities & mental health issues, you might need to look for a new job. Nobody made you sign up, nobody made you come into work that day; if you were having a bad day, you should've stayed at home. This seems to be an ongoing issue at this location.

I was pleased to have my phone call answered within 3 minutes this afternoon at 2 PM! Got a prompt answer to my question. Happy with the service.

I have been calling the main 1-800 # for several weeks waiting on hold for up to an hour each time. I call exactly when the phone line opens up for calls at 8 am with no live person ever answering, I try later in the day with no success, I can't get help on the website because I receive ssi not ssdi. I have emailed and tried ssa office near me but can't get anything resolved. I have limited income and no vehicle and not always feeling well so getting transportation to Henderson where I am told now I have to go is extremely difficult for me. I need my address changed and for my benefits to be direct deposited to another bank account instead of direct express card.

Takes over an hour to reach someone. Documents not processed. Had to resubmit documents. SSA agent not local could not assist. Told me to resend documents, but to FAX. As expected the FAX number would not connect.

This is absurd. I have called the office well over 10 times and have yet to speak with anyone. After waiting on hold for well over 15 minutes the phone begins to ring and I am sent to a voicemail box that is full and I'm unable to leave a message. On top of that, the call ends directly after and I am required to call again and again. Writing this comment/complaint as I am waiting on hold yet again. I really hope everyone else isn't experiencing the same situation as this is terrible.

The people that work the phones here are absolutely ridiculous. They have zero patience, no manners, no couth, and have zero professionalism. Do yourself a favor - Call other offices. Go to other locations. They will waste your time, treat you like garbage, and completely frustrate you. Just imagine - getting rude behavior and ZERO ASSISTANCE from taxpayer funded govt. employees.

The Henderson office is full of Super Stars! These wonderful people are so committed, professional and kind I am in awe. I had an urgent issue and given the Coronavirus situation the office is not readily open however I exercised some patience getting through the busy phone lines " listened to directions offered" and got through as I was told I would and was blessed to have Shawnna answer my call. With her help and direction my issue was resolved, which was a huge burden lifted for me. How rare to have your issue resolved so quickly. Even the Security Guard was very kind and helpful. KUDOS to the Henderson Social Security office it is well run and staffed with intelligent, kind and dedicated employees. A huge thank you.

Called number to report changes to SS income and after waiting an hour on phone was told to go to the office to give copy of wk stub and letter to the rep regarding changes, and also to set up needed appt. for later date on acct, payee. The rep stated all this must be done at the office. Went to the office and was informed they are not open to see clients even though information show they are open. Was informed to mail anything to office on changes and to call back SS about an appt. to set up. This is not the first time misinformed so wanted to give feedback this time.

I want to apply SCN can you tell me the processing time ?

  13. Feb 9, 2021

This is a nightmare. It took 2 days to make an acct without getting locked out again. Now, in Nevada you cannot request replacement ss card online. If you cannot reach anyone or walk in and get it done than WHY is it not workin online? I spoke to someone and she told me to go online. Ive been furloughed almost a year and need new ss card asap for new job.

When I went to DMV to renew my driver's license, one of their requirements is a copy of my Social Security Card. I searched our entire home and can't find it and they won't accept your letter to me regarding my SS Pension since I'm retired. My license had expired now and badly need your assistance for a replacement card. I tried to do it via your Website but after inputting my last 8 digits of my credit card as requested, I got the message that you cannot identify me and I don't understand why. So, need your help for a replacement card.

I have been on hold for one hour and 10 minutes today July 30, 2019 without successfully getting a person on the phone. I need and want to schedule an on site appointment with SS office located at 10416 S. Eastern Ave Henderson NV 89052. Calling a general phone # 1-800-772-1213 has been unsuccessful for me to reach a person. Thank you

  39. Jul 19, 2018

The Las Vegas office seriously mishandled my case, and marked my children as 'whereabouts unknown' after giving me a runaround about receiving the benefits due to them after I started disability. I need this handled, ASAP.
