I have experienced a nightmare for at least a week trying to comply with a letter to update a mailing address. I am handicapped. I do not have a computer only a cell phone. I have called and called. Held hours, been hung up on or disconnected. I also think I have experienced a fraud attempt in this process and want to report. Do I need an appointment?

Spoke to someone who said they where sending someone out so I could put some paperwork in the deposit box. Stood outside your door for 20 minutes in the cold. No one ever came and then you closed and wouldn't answer the phone.

I have tried calling this office NUMEROUS times. I either get a line that just rings and rings, or a recording comes on to tell me to try again later. This is the third day of this nonsense. I’m going to physically go to their location. The customer service of this office is an absolute mess!

I’ve been trying to get my social security card corrected for years now... finally talked to someone on the phone a couple weeks ago from your office. They had a long conversation with me saying the issue with my request NOT BEING PROCESSED, is that I needed the court issued document SHOWING that my LAST NAME WAS CHANGED. I sent in, My Social, Birth Certificate, and State ID, as well as the REQUIRED COURT DOCUMENTS that I was told to have needed..... I’ve sent all those things in 4/5 weeks ago maybe even more... I still haven’t received any information or contact or anything to help me on my way.... then every week since then when I call and check to see if it’s been looked at or processed again, and the person on the phone call always says the mail has been backed up and they’ll get to it when they can.... I have lost my patience completely. I’ve been trying to correct this for years... and can’t even get any help at ALL. I’ve found one person to be helpful in the past 2 years.... she finally told me the court document I needed And then I provided. I just want to put my stuff in my CORRECT LAST NAME.... that’s all I’ve wanted for 2 years to the point of tears and jobless. I can’t even collect any money from the government because MY SOCIAL AND MY BIRTH CERTIFICATE DON'T MATCH. I have been trying to get this resolved for so long now. I don’t care what it costs I don’t care what it is I have to do...... I just want to at LEAST KNOW WHATS GOING ON or what I’m supposed to do... I can’t get a house, I can’t get a car. I can’t do anything basic that’s needed of an adult..... because I don’t have the CORRECT personal paperwork. I just want my social.... I just want my life.
