The other day I was told to go into the social security office, the agent that I spoke to was very disrespectful hurtful and lied to me. I really need to talk to somebody higher up about the experience that I had that devastated me.

Once again, as was my experience during my first encounter with this facility when I was helped by Ms. Orozco, I was assisted by a most cordial, receptive and knowledgeable Social Security representative during today's visit, whose name is Ms. Eubanks. She was as thorough and adept as any visitor seeking benefits, guidance or clarification could have possibly hoped for. She exhibited an appreciable level of patience, bolstered by a professional delivery that I wish were attributes I possessed. To say that she was courteous and skilled are borderline understatements, for there were no scenarios or variables that I could throw at her that she couldn't handle with the grace of an MLB shortstop, as she responded to each of my queries without pause or uncertainty. After conversing with several employees at the Riverside administration office over recent months, I can now state with utmost certainty that Ms. Eubanks is reflective of an entire staff of quality personnel who are genuinely dedicated to providing each one of us with their personal best, limited only by the confines of the agency's rules and guidelines. All that I ask of anyone who requires assistance from ANY Social Security office is to NOT make the same mistake that I have made in the past. Enter the facility with an open mind and good attitude, absent any predispositions or anticipations. I assure you, I can attest that I completely understand the anxiety, stress, bewilderment, and frustration associated with the events that lead us to seek their services. Be fair in your assessments as you depart the SSA, for regardless of whether or not you received the answers or decisions that you desired, the outcome is in no way the result of ineptitude or carelessness on behalf of the quality representative assigned to assist your needs. They may work for a 'bureau', but they are certainly NOT your stereotypical bureaucrats, whose demeanor is often described as cold and uncaring. Remember, SSA personnel are people just like you and me, who have good days and bad days in their personal lives, something we all can attest. Despite that truth, they remain unwavering in providing a greatly appreciated service, and though they are bound by sometimes abstract rules and restrictions, you can always be confident that you will receive their best performance, as they exhaust every tool in their arsenal as they strive to accommodate your needs. The best of luck to each of you visiting the administration, and to Ms. Eubanks and Ms. Orozco, as well as the entire SSA Riverside staff, please accept my sincerest appreciation for all that you do and helping us navigate a complex system. You may be overly criticized and underappreciated AT TIMES, but you will ALWAYS BE people of the highest caliber. ~ Paul D.
