I have tried to call you this entire week, in many times, I have spent over 50 minutes on hold, NEVER responded. I also try to rich out to them via email and guess what... They don't bother answering you. I Need my card.

I called from two phones (land line and cell phone) over 75 minutes and still no one to answer either one of the phone calls. Why the Social Security set up online appointments like the Department of Motor Vehicles. There's no way in the world that over 75 minutes and no one can answer the phone!

  4. Feb 16, 2022

No one answers the phone and after waiting at least 30 minutes the phone disconnects. I've tried many times. This is big government. You can't walk in but you can't get anyone on the phone to make an appointment.

Horrible service. I have been trying to reach the office for 3 days now. No one answers. There is insufficient information on the website regarding services offered. My son needs to submit a change of name. I am unable to find out if they will accept this in the mail or if I need to make an appointment in person. You can't make an appointment on line and there is no address provided to mail the forms.

Trying for a month to get assistance. Husband lost social card. Submitted as per instructions birth certificate and passport card.. Received the SS card but not the Passport card of birth certificate. I have spent many hours on the phone without an answer. The phone is cut off many times after an hour of waiting. I was told by the company that they never receive the papers and only send out the new card. So I am assuming the papers are in the Hackensack office someware. Service is terrible.

I went to this office for application to get a new ssn Card. But I didn't get anything. The receipt which you gave to me said, I should a new card within 2 weeks. Even though, I have tried to contact to you so many times as Call, however, I never contacted to you. How can I solve this problem.

  18. Dec 2, 2020

I waited for 3 hours to talk to a representative from SS. we set up a new account online, which I now cannot even get into. We also set up a call for Tuesday 12/1/20 at 1:45. i sat by my phone and did not get a call. I need another claims rep call appointment without having to sit on the phone again for 3 hours. I cannot understand why SS is so inefficient that I cannot get through either online or by phone! ABSOLUTELY AWFUL, SHAMEFUL!

Yes, like every government facility stress is to be related. But it has nothing to do how papered you are, and if you have the correct paperwork. So far everyone in this office was able to help me with anything that I required.

I am on a fourth week schedule but did not receive my social security check today, Wednesday, October 22, 2019.

  24. Sep 24, 2018

Terrible! Received a letter stating I MUST contact SS before September 26. At stake is $22,000, which is causing me anxiety because the letter leads me to believe that if I am unable to successfully contact you before this date...I may lose this money! I have repeatedly called and left detailed messages, but no one will call me back. Attempted to make an appointment to go in person, but wait time is 1 hour to speak to a human being!!!! I do not have 1 hour to waste holding. What a mess!
